Welcome to SCWSD
Welcome to the South Cheyenne Water & Sewer District!
The District was established in February of 1960 and is the largest water and sewer special district in the state of Wyoming serving a population of approximately 10,000 residents. The District is considered a consecutive system of the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities who provides the water and treats the sewer to the District. The general borders are Interstate 80 to the North, Walterscheid Boulevard to the West, High Plains Road to the South, and North College Drive to the East.
The District is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of (5) members that are elected by residents of the District every (2) years for the term of (4) years.
Service water and sewer pipelines
Often times property owners are unaware that they also own the buried pipes, called private service lines or laterals, that bring water into their home and/or business as well as the pipes that carry wastewater away.
